Killers Zionists hand off the people of Palestine

The Zionists of Israel, once again with the support of the USA and with the most brutal and inhuman way are bombing the Palestinian people. They killed 270 people and injured more than 700 (among them there are many children).
It is about another murderous raid of the Zionist killers aiming to wear down the heroic resistance of the people of Palestine.
We should go out to the streets to demonstrate our anger against the crimes of the Zionists against the people of the region.
We condemn the imperialist powers that support the slaughter of the Palestinians and the people of the region.
We express our solidarity to the struggle of the Palestinian people and its heroic resistance to the final victory.

Solidarity message of the Communist Party of Greece (marxist-leninist) to the Communist Party of Philippines

On behalf of the Communist Party of Greece (marxist-leninist) members and cadres we wish to convey our warmest revolutionary greetings on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of your party’s re-establishment.
The heroic struggle of the Filipino people, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Philippines, with the countless sacrifices has highlighted the path for national liberation and social emancipation in your country.
Every small or great victory brings the ultimate goal closer and gives hope and optimism to the peoples of the world.
In our era that imperialism is more aggressive than ever, shattering countries, nations and economies, the task of the communists to pave the way for human liberation from the exploitation and oppression of the capitalist system as well as to resist against imperialist wars and military interventions, against imperialists' effort to re-conquer and re-colonize the world, has become the agenda in every country and every corner of the planet.
The capitalist-imperialist system imposes misery and torment to the people and the working class across the world.
Therefore, every resistance, every struggle is another step to the long but only way to face and oppose this aggression.
In our country, the economic crisis has aggravated the already existing contradictions and triggered the anger and the militant struggle of the youth and people against state and police brutality as well as the anti-popular policies of the government in Greece, after the murder of the high school student Alexis Gregoropoulos. Such phenomena will be regular in the days to come all over the world. A single spark can start a prairie fire as we witnessed in our country and the impact will be global. Let us all be ready for this.

Long Live the Communist Party of Philippines
Long Live International Solidarity

PRESS STATEMENT

There is no doubt any more! State agents, agents provocateurs and fascist gangs, repression mechanisms, domestic and foreign centres are targeting the people and more particularly the youth.
The new criminal action against a high school student, who was shot last night, outside his school in Peristeri (Athens' suburbia), is another indication of the escalating intimidation of the youth and the working people. It is obvious that reactionaries want to subjugate them by any means.
The outburst of people’s anger, the youth’s national uprising that shakes up the whole country for the last two weeks, has alarmed the whole establishment. Using either intimidation or promises, the government and its collaborators have created a particularly reactionary milieu where fascist criminal activities take place. Side by side, state police, undercover agents and fascist gangs have undertaken the task to impose “order” and “peace”.

No more killings!

No riot forces nearby rallies and demonstrations!

Let's continue to protest in the streets even more massively, more organized, more decisively!

Let's strengthen our struggle for the overthrow of that policy of indignation, unemployment and repression!

Through mass mobilizations, protests, demonstrations, strikes, let’s cut the hand, no matter form where it is armed, that wants to kill the dreams and the aspirations of the people and the youth!

WE HAVE MANY REASONS TO CONTINUE UPRISING!

WE WILL NOT SUBMIT!

THE CULPRITS OF THE NEW MURDER ATTEMPT MUST BE FOUND AND PUNISHED!

The system murders! Let’s turn our rage into an essential political answer!

Communist Party of Greece (marxist-leninist)

by Vassilis Samaras
Secretary of KKE(m-l)

Not unlike a volcano that has awakened, the rage of the youth and the whole Greek people erupted against the cowardly murder of young Alexis Gregoropoulos.
At the same time, immediately, without hesitation and doubts they raised their hand and pointed at the real culprits.
It is the government, the state and the system that breeds and arms murderers in order to have them available any time against the people. This outburst that acquired features of national uprising with thousands of high school and university students and workers demonstrating their anger in villages, neighborhoods and cities across the country was not something unexpected.
The murder of the young teenager became the detonator of the accumulated anger and rage of years; due to the continuous assault of the system against the people and youth, the abolition of their rights, the burial of their future and aspiration and the deadlocks they could see before them.
And at the same time, they stood watching the real looting by the system. For the real looting isn’t the one projected by the media. It is the one that has been taking place for decades against workers and toilers.
It is the plunder of their toil that turns into the wealth of the few who show it off provocatively to unemployed people and workers that have been driven to misery and indigence.
On the other hand and within a general, international framework of imperialist interventions, slaughter of peoples and smashing of countries, the recent crisis came to accentuate both the anxieties and the anger of the people.
It strengthened the belief that the system burdens their shoulders more, causing greater problems and more hardships. It came to provoke more their anger as they watch the direction of the system, the ones it takes care of and where economic resources are directed.
The same economic resources that don’t “exist” as far as minimum people’s needs are concerned but are more than available when it comes to financing banks.
The people understand all these, despite the way or the depth of this understanding. They understand all the more the essence of the problems they face, their causes and the nature of the system.
At the same time, these given facts define the class character of the people’s and youth’s reaction to the murder. And in this, we should note a very significant and hopeful dimension of the whole issue. It is about a development that had already emerged with the uprising of university students and the taking-over movement. There is already a whole generation that rejects the “values” of the system, a generation that reacts, revolts and fights. It is of secondary importance that this reaction may be characterized by political immaturity, or by useless action or even action that could be used by the reactionaries. The main issue is the fact that a whole generation revolts and seeks its own way. And they will find it.

Conditions and reasons for the phenomenon

The nature, the size, the extent and the character of the development ipso facto sets forth a political question. The answer, the way out, can also be a political question. The problem is in the subjective aspect. From a general point of view the answer, the way out for the system can be sought in the right wing party (ND), in the social-democrat party (PASOK), some “new” bourgeois political entity or the forces of the left. The bourgeois options are none of our concern so the problem is that the forces which refer to the Left neither wish nor can offer such –real– way out.
After the murder, there has been the mass expression of the anger of thousands of people across the country.
At the same time and on a large scale it has taken the form of attack and destruction that gave many sides the opportunity to downgrade the main aspect of the phenomenon. Among them, there are forces of the alleged Left. Hypocrisy and self-delusion. There are very specific reasons for these phenomena.
The first reason is the anger against the system for the facts we aforementioned.
The second one is the fact that this Left neither wishes nor can offer these people a real political way out to; the fact that it has lost –due to its responsibility- its prestige and ability to influence the development.
This goes back decades ago but there are also important recent indications. It was the way, these allegedly left forces, addressed the university students’ movement, the struggle for insurance and pension rights [in 2007], in general the way they addressed the assault of the capital on labour relations and the rights and gains of the workers and youth. We could say that these forces had the opportunity to re-link with the struggling people, to play the role of a genuine left force in the struggles that had been waged, to re-gain at least a part of their lost prestige. Instead, what they did with their political stance, was to encourage the government to escalate its assault.
Today they are talking about provocateurs and agents of the system. Certainly, there are (there were always) provocateurs and agents of the system. Certainly there are various incompetent leaders and gurus of anarchism who saw the opportunity to conform their role. We could also refer to the forces that refuse to open a political front against such concepts and practices but choose an opportunist stance.
But if we insisted on these aspects we would miss the whole picture. And the whole picture is the mass participation of thousands young people who wish to fight, who seek their path and are influenced by such concepts.
The basic conditions of this situation are two:
The first one is the rage against the system.
The second one is the fact that this Left, with its specific features and political stance, its discredit cannot offer a way out to the questions of this youth. This is the main problem.

The political question

There are many serious (even critical) aspects, interrelated in this question.
It should be reminded that the political question has been set forth long ago within the frames of the system. We believe that for quite some time there has been a situation where an attempt is made to undermine Karamanlis (both as Prime Minister and leader of the right wing party ND), to promote the social democrat party, PASOK, and support Papandreou. This is not related with the scandals that exist. The scandal that emerges in the agenda each time is related to political choices.
These political choices are related directly to the strong opposition of the US (and the simultaneous withdrawal of support by the European imperialists) to choices of the Karamanlis government in regards with the gas pipes and the buying of military material. Here are the basic reasons why we don’t accept that the movement should set forth as the prime goal the “fall of the government”. (This slogan could be set forth probably under different conditions).
This doesn’t mean that there is a “preference” for the rightwing Karamanlis government. Instead we refuse the involvement of the movement in an already developing reactionary inter-bourgeois, inter-imperialist game. And despite the opportunism we see (particularly in regards with elections) we cannot ignore this aspect.
Therefore the basic elements of the whole question are:
The assault against the people and youth will continue more fierce and ruthless in every field.
It is the involvement of our country in the inter-imperialist rivalries. We don’t mean a ship in Persian Gulf or troops in Kosovo or Afghanistan but a lot more dangerous development for the people and the country.
In regards with the crisis, we believe that it will aggravate the situation in both fields, the assault against the people and the sharpening of inter-imperialist rivalries and the consequences and danger they imply. These dangers are increased by the shortcomings of the bourgeoisie and its political staff.

The responsibilities of the Left

The answer to the question remains on the Left again, although it cannot be given immediately. However the Left – at lest theoretically – could move towards the direction of forming the conditions and gradually becoming capable of providing answers. Only, in this case things aren’t optimist at all, at least in regards with the Left we know.
Undoubtedly, CPG [KKE] is the strongest and more organized among these forces. The problem is that the KKE leadership is not willing to undertake such a role, but essentially it has resigned every actual intervention in the development. They dig themselves in a stance of self-preservation, hoping and wishing that more favorable conditions will come for it. And their only concern is not to be surpassed by (a party with euro-communism features) SYN-SYRIZA (Coalition of Radical Left – coalition between SYN and radical left organizations). In vain. What is coming requires real exercise of real politics and no “fortification” can work.
Regarding SYN-SYRIZA and in contrast with KKE, it is being activated, is involved, exercises politics and seems to seek a way out. The problem is they seek the way out within the system, in collaboration with forces of the system and for the system. Everything else is included and served this logic and this direction.
There are also other forces that in these conditions seem not to understand the real given facts. They have declared revolution and are preparing for … communism. We won’t be surprised if they “land” on the great goal of “euro-elections” very soon.
We will also say a few things in regards with anarchism-autonomy. The movement that erupted had the strong support and solidarity of the great majority of the Greek people. We could add that the perspective of the movement can seek only this connection to find a support basis. Nevertheless, actions that block this support or even turn a part of the people against the movement provide arguments to the system and undermine the perspective of the movement.
Regarding the forces of the Left that are characterized by coherence and a correct political concept and direction, these for the time being, have limited range and capacity to determine the course of the struggle.

The perspective of the situation and our tasks

Although things don’t seem so optimistic there is also another aspect, the basic one.
It is the “change” taking place not today but for quite some time. It is the fact that for years the people have started understanding the nature and the goals of the system for the future. It is the fact that a whole generation of young workers and students has been released from the influence of the system and turns against it. At the same time they refuse to accept the logic of a conciliatory Left. There is no doubt that there are shortcomings and weaknesses due to the kind of the Left that has existed for decades.
But the main element is that here lie the seeds of the future. In these conditions the fighters will emerge and rise and within the struggle they will realize their role and responsibilities and they will lead the movement.
In regards with the role of the existent political subjects of the Left, the ones who understand, want and can, that is to contribute decisively in the development of this process and towards this direction.
What takes place these days is a movement of anger, condemnation and denouncement of a policy that arms killers.
The necessity and capacity to go further requires some basic preconditions. Whether this movement will be able to link with the people and youth on the ground of the specific problems they already face. The question is if this movement will be able to link with these problems, with the resistances that exist and the many more resistances that should develop. The question is whether these efforts will manage to orientate towards a whole Front of Resistance and struggle against the assault the people and youth face, against a system that kills, against capital, against imperialism. It won’t be easy, particularly due to the existing conditions. However, the better we understand what is really taking place, the more decisively we can move towards such a direction with the confidence that this direction is correct. The more correctly and decisively we move, the more we will develop the conditions for what is coming.
Since the most serious things are yet to come.

Announcement of the Communist Party of Greece (marxist-leninist)

International Bureau

The brutal murder of the 15-year-old Alexis Gregoropoulos, on Saturday December 6, in the centre of Athens by a policeman who cold-bloodedly shot him, was the fatal result of the Greek governments’ policy that in the last years has strengthened state terror against the people’s, working and youth movement (high school students, university students and unemployed young people) as well as against immigrants. The absolute responsibility belongs to the current right-wing government and the previous social democratic, that both encouraged the murderous police troops and riot police forces to shoot, beat and arrest demonstrators, strikers, young people and immigrants while they made a callus legislative frame of terror laws and orders, and at the same time left the killers in previous similar cases go unpunished.
The uprising of the Greek youth and a large part of the workers and the Greek people, the mass protest of thousands of people that erupted across the country, the taking-over of high schools and universities that are in progress, the attacks against government buildings and police stations are the justified demonstration of rage that exists in broad parts of society and youth due to the tough economic policy which is in favor of multinationals, big capital, bankers and the European Union. The murder of young Alexis was the spark that started the fire and the materials of this fire that doesn’t end are unemployment, indigence and despair that large parts of the workers and youth are facing. The results of the capitalist economic crisis and the government and EU policies are the real reasons for the eruption of the Greek youth and people.
Once again the stance of both official parties of the formal reformist Left was at least problematic. The so called KKE [CPG] tried to appease and slander the youth’s struggle, SYN-SYRIZA [Left Alliance] tried to manipulate and channel the demostrations for its own ambitions (future collaboration in government with the social-democrats), while the leaderships of both parties hurried to meet the prime minister when he invited them to his office. Both parties are trying to incorporate the popular rage within the parliamentary electoral process and defuse the movement that erupted.
Communist Party of Greece (marxist-leninist) [KKE(m-l)] as well as other left organizations, the Militant Movement of Students and other front organizations participated actively from the very start in the protest that took place in numerous Greek cities, in the taking-over of universities and the mobilization of high school students. We fight for the continuance and escalation of the struggle and the success of its goals against the government and its policy.

LONG LIVE THE UPRISING OF THE GREEK YOUTH!
• DOWN WITH THE KILLERS AND THE POLICY OF POVERTY AND UNEMPLOYMENT!
• LONG LIVE INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY!

ILPS SUPPORTS THE GREEK PEOPLE'S STRUGGLE AGAINST THE CRIMINAL KARAMANLIS REGIME

Press Statement
13 December 2008

By Prof. Jose Maria Sison
Chairperson, International Coordinating Committee
International League of Peoples' Struggle

The International League of Peoples' Struggle (ILPS) expresses its vigorous support to the militant people of Greece in their condemnation of the many crimes of the right-wing Karamanlis regime against the Greek people.

The present social unrest in Greece has been ignited by the murder of a protesting youth and is an expression of pent-up anger that has been building up for months against the oppressive and exploitative policies of the corrupt Karamanlis regime.

Students and faculty members mounted militant protest actions the past year against an education reform that would allow privatization of university education. Workers opposed a government plan to reform the pension system by going on a general strike.

Public sector workers have protested against the policy of privatization on hospitals and schools among others. Many strikes were mounted the past year that affected the transport sector, courts, banks, hospitals, media organizations and public offices.

A demonstration in Athens during the latest general strike in October was violently dispersed by the police. Thus, the latest killing of 15-year-old Alexandros Grigoropoulos has been seen by the people as a glaring case of escalating state brutality.

Throughout the world, governments have persisted on carrying out so-called neoliberal reforms that have attacked the livelihood and hard-won rights of the workers and other toiling masses. Thus, the people have been putting up resolute and militant resistance against such "reforms."

In the face of the worldwide financial and economic crisis, the people are witness to how governments are quick to come to the rescue of the big banks and corporations but are slow to take up measures to alleviate the suffering of the working people.

The International League of Peoples' Struggle (ILPS) extends its militant solidarity to the Greek people as well as to the other peoples of the world who are struggling against the criminal policies of governments of the bankers and the bosses.

The ILPS supports the struggles of the workers for decent wages, better working conditions and trade union rights, the struggles of the peasants for land reform, and the struggles of all the oppressed peoples for justice, freedom and democracy.

Resist the oppressive and exploitative state!
Advance the struggle for the people's rights and welfare!
Long live international solidarity!

ALEXIS WILL TAKE HIS REVENGE IN TODAYS' STRUGGLES TO OVERTHROW GOVERNMENTAL POLICIES

CPG(m-l) condemn the cold blooded murder of the young student in the night of 6 December. This murder wasn't a bad moment of a 'bully' policeman or a badly trained and organized police.

It's the sequel of a policy which fortify and brazen suppression forces against the enemy people. It's the sequel of the murder of a pakistani immigrant on the 26th October. It's the sequel of the everyday barbaric suppression of youths' and peoples' struggle. It's the sequence of the recent suppression of student demonstrations and the savage beating of students but also of the orgy of tear-gases usage and suppression of the thousands that demonstrate these days. This is the exact policy that armed the hand of Alexis executioner.

CPG(m-l) believes that the more and more frequent use of suppression mechanisms IS NOT RANDOM.

It's the sequel of a cornered government which is in worst position that when it took over.

A government with low poll percentages, where prime-ministers' court is bared because of the 'disclosure' of its participation in scandals.

A government which for a long time has been in the sight of the political centres that see their demands for alignment with their plans in the wider region, based on the increasingly intensifying inter-imperialist competition, cannot reciprocate as they wanted.

A government with obvious lack of firm support on behalf of european associates that not only not discuss of loosening the Stability Agreement but also from the support fund of 150 billions that they announced, because of the deficit 'can't afford providing it with any funds'.

A government which by its own choice pass the burden of the crisis to the toiler masses with an extortionate Budget, which intensify the direct leech bleeding of the toilers with new austerity, which attacks to the labor rights that have been left, digs its own grave.

A government that to save itself must prove to all sorts of political centres that it wants and can leave the people aside. This is the one that armed alexis executioners hand.

From this point of view Alexis will not be justified anywhere else than through the strengthening of youths' struggles, in the fortification of workers resistance.

Not to those struggles that WILL burst out in the future but to those that ALREADY develop.

• Let the rage and dander feed the strengthening of a new wave of student struggles that already come up to the surface.

• Let them find a way out in the strengthening of high-school students struggles, in the youth that more and more thinks of Alexis as one of there own.

• Let them find a way out in workers and toilers strikes, whom their fight take care of the rights not only of this generation but also of the one to follow.

DOWN WITH STATE TERROR!
DOWN WITH THE ANTI-PEOPLES GOVERNMENTAL POLICY!

Communist Party of Greece (marxist-leninist)

A teenager murdered by the Greek police!

We stand in solidarity with the struggling people!

On December 6th two police officers murdered Alexandros Grigoropoulos, a 15 year old teenager, by shooting him right in his heart. At first, both government and police claimed that the police officers were attacked, which turned out to be a lie. The Media despite their effort to distort the facts and reproduce the government and police propaganda didn’t manage to succeed. A multitude of witnesses confirm that, right before the incident, the policemen provoked the group of young boys and a verbal conflict followed but at no instance were the policemen attacked or physically threatened.

It's not the first time the police has murdered in cold blood and it will not be the last. This bloody brutality must stop. This event was occurred at a time when the reactionary plans of the government force the majority of the people to live in the worst conditions possible, with out rights, condemning them to live a life of unemployment and poverty. This event is only an extreme manifestation of the violence which this system creates at every instance. Everyday the vast majority of the people gets a low paid unsecured job, financial insecurity and a collapse of the social web. Happiness is a consumer good which can only be bought in ever increasing doses. Societies are impersonal so it is easier to socialize negative externalities in the quest for individual profit. This social setup cannot but resemble a pressurized container. When the 15year old was shot this container busted. Every one of us was hit by that bullet. That is why immediately after the incident, thousands of people all over Greece went out in the streets to protest. The Greek police confronted the protesters with extreme violence...

From the night of Saturday the 6th since now, there are nation wide rallies, demonstrations, actions of all kinds by a diversified and numerous part of the Greek people. At many documented events the police made repeated unnecessary use of their firearms (even at the funeral), while many of them are extremely provocative towards the demonstrators threatening to kill them. Murder seems to be included in the police intentions and orders, as the video footage of the extreme police brutality shows (even against school kids and students). Huge amounts of tear gases and chemicals flooded all major Greek cities. Indiscriminate arrests among demonstrators were made , while members of fascist-groups disguised as concerned citizens and aided by the police participated in attacks with knives against protesters.

The extent of the riots and their pervasiveness is astonishing. Labor unions and social movements stand together against the government. The media are broadcasting misleading information in order to spear terror among the population and portray the justified anger of large part of the Greek society as pariahs who have no reason for discontent. It is the same tactic which was used during the French riots of 2005 by Sarkozy. What will be attempted next, is to allow for more repression, undemocratic anti terrorist legislation, and surveillance. The cause of the riots isn't lack of police men and incomplete laws. The root of the problem is too many unjust laws, too much injustice tucked in every corner of our lives.

This tragic event can not be viewed as either isolated or individually attributable. Other incidents include the murder of the suspected terrorist Brazilian plumber in the London subway and the death of the French youth that triggered the massive French riots, but the list is longer and more multifaceted. A social system based on the principle of individual profit cannot but create violence, everywhere present whether visible or hidden. In a world where Democracy means that the few rule in favor of an aristocracy of capital, where justice means that different set of rules and values apply for immigrants or people in the ever-“developing” world and different for first class citizens. Numbers count, People not. Individual profit counts, people not. Profits are privatized, while Losses are socialized. Let's stand up against the root causes and the policies which create world wide violence and injustice!

We call every citizen all over the world, to support and unite with the people and the youth of Greece in their ongoing massive demonstrations, in their fight for better conditions...

Solidarity with Greek people’s masses struggling against Karamanlis’ killing government

The Party of the Committees to Support Resistance – for Communism (CARC) expresses full solidarity to the students, the workers and all the people’s masses who struggles in the squares against Karamanlis’ government. It is a government of reactionaries, thieves, corrupted people and torturers that today shows itself as a government of killers as well.
The CARC Party expresses its full support to the Communist Organization of Greece (KOE), to the Communist Party of Greece/Marxist-Leninist, to all the parties and the organizations that today are a reference point for the rebellion of people’s masses against the regime. It commits itself to release as more as possible the information you give us, against the false propaganda of the media of the regime and of the revisionists, and to call for the solidarity of Italian people’s masses towards the struggle ongoing in Greece. We ask the comrades of KOE and KKE/ml to bring our message of solidarity to Greek people’s masses.
The Greek people’s masses rebel against a regime that is leading the country to ruin, trying to defend imperialist bourgeoisie’s interests as a devastating crisis is running over the entire world. The rebellion of Greek people’s masses is the same of the Italian ones, and the enemy is the same as well.
As capitalism crisis is coming to its head, the Communists need to tell not only what they are struggling against, but also what they are struggling for. This means to lead and promote the struggles against reactionary governments for building what we, in Italy, call People’s Block governments, founded on workers, students and people’s organizations that adopt emergency measures to face the crisis: assigning to every firm productive tasks useful and apt to their needs according to a plan, distributing the products to families, individuals, firms and collective uses according to plans and criteria, assigning to every individual a socially useful work and assuring him in exchange the necessary conditions for a dignified life and the participation in managing society, establishing relations of cooperation and exchange with all the countries that are disposed to establish them with us.
Let’s organize ourselves for overthrowing these regimes that are leading our countries to ruin, misery and war, let’s support people’s masses who are already organizing themselves, let’s unite the various forms by which the masses organize themselves for a future government that will do people’s interests, for starting towards the way out of the crisis, towards another possible and necessary society, towards a socialist society!

Down with Karamanlis’ killing government!
Long live the struggle of Greek people’s masses!
Long live the struggle of Communist, of revolutionaries, and of all the forces who opposes the bourgeois regimes and pose the foundation of the new world!

The cold blooded murder of the teenager is the work of the government

The people and the youth will not submit!
To the streets! Against the policy that murders!

The Communist Party of Greece (marxist-leninist) condemns and denounces to the Greek people and youth the cold blooded murder of the 15 year old teenager by the police.

This murder was the result of the continuous strengthening and impertinence of the police forces. It was the result of the murder of the Pakistani migrant in October, 26th. It was the natural outcome of a series of police brutalities and the every day brutal repression of the people’s and youth’s struggles. There were many indications from recent events for the political decision of the government to intensify state terrorism.
Despite the orchestrated attempt of the Media it was impossible to hide that it was about a clearly, directly, cold blooded murder. Just like the previous social democratic government with the murder of another teenager, the right wing government shed blood in its attempt to intimidate the people and the workers in front of the intensified social discontent, due to the crisis and its anti-popular policies.
It is a fact that as long as the crisis of the capitalist system worsens, as long as poverty and unemployment increase, the repression and state terrorism against the people will also intensify.
But the people and the youth WILL NOT SUBMIT!
To the streets! Against the policy that murders!
